W e are a four-piece band formed in Boone, North Carolina in 2006. With one graduate of Appalachian State’s school of music and a classically trained violinist, we combine technical skill with the creative gifts of our co-songwriters Ryan O’Keefe and Halli Anderson to produce a sound we feel we can call our own.
Do it to Julia Community Album
A fter two years of writing, re-writing, tossing out, revising, reworking, breaking down and building up, we have now created a lovely batch of new songs that need to be documented. The time has come to record our second album. The issue with this project, as with so many art forms, comes down to finances. We have spent the last year building a home studio—giving us creative control of our music. We are now turning to you in hopes that together, as members of the Do it to Julia community, we can move forward with a project we all believe in. For your efforts you will receive copies of the new album, hand printed T-shirts, videos, and, well, any other quirky ideas Halli can come up with. Your name will also be inscribed on the inside jacket of every album. Thank you all so much!

That sonic building creates a modern base for the band’s lovely, thoughtful lyrics that are every bit as good when listened to closely as they are when digested as another layer of the soundscape…”
