I was born in Roswell, Georgia in 1986.
Like every obedient member of the American Middle Class I went to high school, then to college. Now I’m done, both with college and with being obedient.
I like music very much. Especially rock and roll. Over the years it has come to mean a great many things to me, but always it has been the wisest and most dependable friend I have.
I got my first drum set in my freshman year of high school. I’m self-taught, for better or worse. Every now and then there are times when behind the drums things don’t go my way and I find myself wishing I’d stayed out of it—because like a magician, we musicians learn our trade at the expense of the magic. But more and more I’ve come to realize that I never really had a choice in the matter. And besides, music is not an illusion, and I only believe that stuff about sacrificing magic on the bad days, because, in truth, for every secret exposed by my craft there are revealed in its place a slew of new appreciations.
